How Do Electronic Humidistats Control Switch Work?
Humidistat is an equipment that measures the Humidity of the air. Humidity is the measure for moisture. It is expressed in % (percentage). Moisture is the physical quantity and humidity is its measure.
In a general sense we consider any automatic HVAC equipment functions as responsive to the internal temperature level. But when used in conjunction with an air-conditioning system, the electronic humidistat will function as a "cycle" the conditioner ON or OFF automatically in response to internal humidity level instead of responding to internal temperature levels.
For example, say an electronic humidistat set up at 70% humidity level, see how operated it is: When the relative indoor humidity reaches 70 percent or above, the air conditioner will "cycle" ON, even if the thermostat setting does not call for cooling.
