Bangladesh Power Transmission and Distribution System Planned to Operate through Private Ownership.
National electricity transmission and distribution line going to the private sector As a result, the private sector is also involved with the transmission system after the production of electricity. In the meantime, plans have been made to construct two transmission lines through the private sector.
Besides, the government has set a target of investing more than 4.5 billion taka by 2040 in private power sector. In this case, new investors will be given preference.
It is learned that in the last 10 years, about one lakh crore taka has been invested in the power sector in the private sector by responding to the government's call for development of power sector and government policy support.
By 2040, more than four and a half million investment targets have been targeted in this sector.
Bangladesh Independent Power Producers Association (BIPPA) President Mohammad Latif Khan said that this initiative of private investors will continue to play an important role in building Bangladesh as a developed country.

He says no country can be established as a developed country without electricity and energy.
Private investors can provide timely and sustainable electricity The concerned people say the coordination with the generation of electricity is not improving in the country.
In line with the production, the initiative to build the transmission line, but due to manpower and other constraints, it is not possible for state-owned transmission company- Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB).
Apart from being a government organization, funding is not available for various projects at the desired time.
However, power management officials feel that if the management of the transmission is provided in the private sector, different companies will be very interested.
Initially, two plans to construct two transmission lines from Moheshkhali to Madunagarhat and Rauzan from Chittagong to Mirsarai have been planned.
The state-run organization PGCB has been asked to take action on that matter. PGCB has proposed a bidder financing method of two lines and the other is to process the IPP process.
According to the sources, with the current import, captive and other sectors, Bangladesh has the capacity to generate 20,000 megawatts.
As per the power sector plan, in 2021, the capacity will stand between 4 thousand and 2030 in 40 thousand megawatts.
In the last few years, the power generation capacity increased in the country, but there was not much attention to the transmission system.
Now the decision to give the transmission system to the private sector. But if the private sector is involved in the transmission sector, the government will have to strictly see the fixed rate of investment.
Power sector experts say that another special feature of the private sector is the rapid project implementation.
This feature makes it easier for the private sector to meet the needs of the country by implementing the project quickly during the emergency requirement.
According to the government estimates, about 55 percent of the total power generation capacity of the country is now under the private sector.
According to the Power Development Board (PDB), the current power generation capacity in the country is 20,343 megawatts.
In the current installed capacity, the power of the private sector centers is 11 thousand 57 megawatts, which is 54.35 percent of the total capacity.
Meanwhile, the installed power capacity is 20 thousand 343 MW, but according to the demand of the country, the average daily generation of electricity is 11 thousand megawatts.
According to PDB's data, the maximum power generation record in the history of the country on September 19 is 11 thousand 623 megawatts.
As per the PDB's data, electricity generation capacity has increased in the country in the last ten years and electricity consumption and per capita consumption have also increased significantly.
In 2009, the number of electricity subscribers was 1.8 million, now it is 3 million 12 lakhs. In 2009 only 47 percent of the country's people were under electricity connection.
Now it has increased to about 92 percent. Bangladesh planned to bring 100 percent of the people under power connections within the next year.
That means electricity is being ensured for everybody in the country within 1 year.
The private sector has played a significant role in implementing this plan by the government.
Their role will continue in the future. PGCB Managing Director (Md) Masum Al-Beruni said that initially, PGCB was thinking about making two lines.
But to determine which model of the IPP will be followed, the power sector government power company has been called to determine.
The average electricity demand in the city is close to 20 percent. In view of these needs, the government is taking on new projects to build power generation and transmission lines in the public and private sectors.

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be at the internet the easiest thing
ReplyDeleteto keep in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get irked at the
